Backbone, in collaboration with the legendary KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, are launching the Backbone One | DEATH STRANDING 2 Limited Edition controller, officially licensed by PlayStation®.¹

Meticulously designed, the new Backbone honors the launch of DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH. Each controller is a rugged, utilitarian symbol of survival and delivery in the DEATH STRANDING universe. Both functional and recognizable, the protective hard case doubles as a display piece. This is a small artifact of a larger world, made for players who carry their adventures with them.

The Backbone team worked directly with KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS to translate the themes of resilience and exploration into a hand-held object. Color, typography, and iconography draw from Sam’s world and the materials that support him. The Limited Edition features aluminum D-pad and buttons and is inspired by the design of Backbone One PlayStation Edition, so it looks and plays like it belongs with your setup. Every mark earns its place.
